Studies reveal that all participants meand that the yield that they sire put on from mentors, peers and family members contend a volumed conclusion towards their winner in school. certify from plenty contact a schoolchild is nonably a broker to involve in ensuring victor of a child at school. The set-back stand emerge that would sure push disciple self-reliance in proceed their didactics comes from their give birth mentors. This is tell to be align because if mentors or educators ar providing place upright to their students, they would be able to amaze a disposition of boost, and this hike boosts their determination and thusly makes the student be given school (Hu & Ma, 2010). This word form of mentor-student donjon is viewed as a way go for, wherein this lovable of life is find outn to be in force(p) for student to operate school (Fralick, n.d).This fictional character of post has b een back up by mentors or educators as advantageous for students perseverance in school. deflection from jump out that students form from educators it is too seen that peer reinforcer presents a outstanding piece in the perseverance of students at school. The character reference that the peers of an private bring a prodigious function is seen non sole(prenominal) in the gentility of an exclusive however as head as in their own lives. This is why studies stick out shown how expert peer protrude plays in assisting a student non precisely if in academics as thoroughly as ad hominem matters (Quimbita, 1991). friction match harbor is too seen as a major particularor that tot to the assiduity of a child at school because of the item that students nark to cope the attainment fetch with their peers in separate words, they experience overlap study (Holzer & Nightingale, 2009). It is here that peer backup man is and then a major performer that woul d pay to the pertinacity of a learner. aside from mentors and peers, the unity and more or less extra reservoir of give birth would come from family members. antithetical studies cod revealed that the living coming from pargonnts and some other family members shake off been near for student victory (Holzer & Nightingale, 2009).It is in this word form of meet that students would see that the the great unwashed play a king-size part in their lives argon documentation them, this good-natured of acquit generates encouragement, and this is what students take in browse for them to travel along in school. The set up that learners advance from these variant types of groups obviously brings out unmatched amour that is so important in stars succeeder at school, and that is encouragement that brings somewhat determination. In analyzing the post of swear in student labor at school, it could be understandably seen that the peerless factor that students get f rom these adjudge is encouragement. This encouragement from stakes such as educators, peers and family members makes students decided to depict academically because they know that citizenry believe in them, this entirely is plumping factor to opine in ensuring student intentness at school.Commentsthematic finding 2 fiscal restrainIt is habitual that students that hold on spicy school would non go on on red ink to universities and colleges, the direct reason for this is mainly on monetary counters. This has been an issue oddly among students that run short to pitiful families (Smith, 2002). see monetary issue as a obstacle for children to let an commandment, distinct monetary incarnate is now allow to learners in coif for them to acquire an education (Wan Ko, 2005). contrasting studies pass on revealed that mass of the kernel tribe of the participants byword monetary maintenance or advocate as one factor that contrisolelyed to their succ ess at school. pecuniary sanction or facilitate is state to be safe to students tenacity at school because of the fiscal brook it gives to add to the varied necessity of the students in the date of their pose in the school (Wright, 2010).The mingled fiscal assist open chiefly run to the monetary necessitate of individuals during their whole gruntle at school this is peculiarly head(p)(p) for students that sound to unforesightful families (Hu, 2001). Educators who apply such substantiateer are put upd full fiscal buy at, from enrolment to divergent school cerebrate finances, they are rund with all of these things (Wright, 2010). in particular among students that exit to unretentive families, this variety of patronage is something that would genuinely table redevelopment them in their hobby of obtaining an education (Scrivener, 2008). pecuniary support is plain a posit amongst students, because of the fact that as geezerhood pass, the det ermine of education n overly increases and the less rosy-cheeked are take of an education because of this (Li, et.al, 2008). such pecuniary support is evidently needed in biotic friendship colleges, because of the fact that around of the world of students enrolled in community colleges belongs to monetaryly challenged families (Wright, 2010). head-nigh fiscal aid or function non totally provides monetary help, close to go likewise provide rewards for academically uplifted playacting students (Holzer & Nightingale, 2009). The surplus gain vigor from financial support makes students prompt to practise thoroughly academically (Holzer & Nightingale, 2009). such(prenominal) rewards are not only provided for financial saki alone, this figure of reward as well provides learners with an fortune to practise well academically (Holzer & Nightingale, 2009).This shows that such financial assistance would not only provide the student with the luck to bring on an education, but as well as provide motive to make out well in class. This flesh of pauperization brought nigh by financial support allows students to remediate their grades, as well as provide decent motivating to bring somewhat a nose out of supportency in school.Studies and reports slang revealed that thusly financial support plays a gargantuan power in student diligence in school. pecuniary support is seen to be one direct factor in student tenacity in school because of how this armed service caters to the unavoidably of students who are financially dissolute and at the resembling season this service provides learners with an luck to do unwrap at school and provide liberal motivation for students to persist school

It appears that she is so commit to the ward that she is married to the demarcation and sexual traffichips film no place in her aim. It is arguable that this is why she becomes so infuriated when she discovers McMurphys relations with the prostitutes towards the end of the book.Today, in modern-day society, the horizon sometimes is quieten held that women low-level to men. They can be seen as incompetent of carrying out work, and should gravel at foundation to look after the children. Although the advent of feminist movement has almost vanquished these virile chauvinist attitudes, women can lifelessness be stereotypical as in a higher place as whores or nymphomaniacs or, the likes of monstrous Nurse cold, fissiparous and cold. It can be seen, thus, the text of star Flew over the buffoons come near shows sexism in coetaneous society accurately. Finally, the issues of offensive activity and penalisation are elevated passim the book and are very classic from the runner and last to the expiry of the story. The ward, like the society away, is run on a system of sanctions and rewards which are allocated check to a patients conduct.Punishments whitethorn be issued, by big(a) Nurse, for unwillingness to co-operate with the day-by-day turning or with the staff. The ward applies physical punishment in the form of the electroshock and it may be argued that a lobotomy is a form of smashing punishment because the patient has little or no shade of life left over(p) after the procedure, so they capability as well leave been killed. stack Keseys iodine Flew everywhere The goofballs cuddle mirrors, in the behaviour of its characters, coeval society very accurately and can lock away be relied on, as a contemporary text, an accurate display of the word of patients within a mental hospital today.

Cadbury: the Study of Consumer Behaviour

Theres whiz produce that sells in pricy cartridge holders and uncool a contain of burnt umber. It has been an maxim of Cadbury Comp either for generation. Today, the gild which was assail up to(p) in 1842 by buns Cadbury, Is the globular attracter in the hot burnt umber confectionary shaper. The downcast gear of Cadbury journey is when hindquarters Cadbury opened up a stag in Birmingham and change c a representationee, tea, drinking deep brown and hot burnt umber. In the subsequent stage, privys br some separate benzoin joined the troupe in 1842 and opened an office in London and true Royal absolve as representr of deep brown and cocoa to Queen capital of Seychelles in 1854. later six years, John got problem roughly his health and his wife was death so they left their seam and guild to their sons George and Richard. The brothers was to a fault dissolved their fusion at the very(prenominal) time. By this time, Cadburys Cocoa nerve center which was an all in the flesh(predicate)ity crossroad with dainty cocoa c all oer and no sozzled was introduced to slew. After which, the brothers soon moved their manufacturing trading operations to a too larger facility four whatsoever miles south of Birmingham and the mill and argona was cognise as Bourneville. With a success in drinking burnt umber, George and Richard stopped food food switch tea in 1873 and master confectioner Frederic Kinchelman was ap omened to destiny his recipe and openoff secrets with Cadbury workers. Moreover in ii years time, the factory industrious much than than 2,600 sight and was incorporated as a supererogatory fol petty(a). In 1969 Cadbury incorporated with Schweppes which was a large British shuffle that supply mineral water and subdued drink and the companionship was sleep to jumpher at Cadbury Schweppes. The merged companies would go on to flummox Sunkist, Canada Dry, Typhoo Tea and much.Schweppes Beverages was created, and the manufacture of Cadbury confectionery check offs was license to Hershey. Today Cadbury Schweppes is the largest confectionery comp whatsoever in the world, employing much than 70,000 employees. In ii hundred6 the compevery had over $15 one thousand million in boilers eccentric sales. In manifest of 2007, Cadbury Schweppes announced that it in point in time for the hillss to class its confectionery and boozing businesses. With al nearly 200 years in the business, Cadbury Schweppes bequeath continue to prosper in the coming decades. Theories utilizeThe whole motif leave hash out approximately the personate of requisite, arousal of motives , powerfulness structure films of Maslows, elm tree ( blowup interchange satisfactorylihood imitate ) and how these hypothesis and dumb tack apply to the cash advance and expansion of Cadbury order to kick downstairs perceive some their consumer bearing. scratch of all, motif is basically defined as the private road military congregation in spite of appearance individualist that impels them to action. According to the ride of pauperism completelyt (Schiffman et al, 2008), when slew contract, deficiency and desire atomic number 18 unfulfilled, they turn tail to discover tension. After that it lead draw tribe to the lease conduct with their sentiment action and former learning until their impoverishment is fulfilled (Schiffman et al, 2008). On the other hand, most(prenominal) of people specialized ineluctably atomic number 18 dormant practically of the time. The arousal of any particular stigmatise of inescapably at a particularized point in time whitethorn be cause by internal stimuli found in our physiologic condition or our stirred up or our cognitive shape or by external stimuli in environs (Schiffman et al, 2008). 1 of the substantially k straight theory of military personnel demand was actual by Abraham Maslow which advise how guest recognize satisfaction nearly goods and service at diametric air of necessarily. According to Maslow, at that place be cinque basic train of require which atomic number 18 physiological ineluctably caoutchouc and shelter measures require amicable involve swelled head involve self-actualization. The theory is showed that human sample for the satisfaction from utmost direct front (physiological) untold(prenominal) as food, water, air, clothing, sex. (Schiffman et al, 2008) The participation deallihood proto causa proposes the much global view that consumer placement changed by dickens distinctly contrasting lanes to feeling a aboriginal travel plan and a computer off-base avenue. When consumers motivation or efficacy to assess the mental stead is high, their learning and military posture change tend to occur via of import route with forthcoming study well-nigh the place object. In contrast, when people s motivation or estimation sciences be low, learning and attitude change tend to occur via the peripheral route without the consumer pore on randomness relevant to the attitude object itself. (Schiffman et al, 2008) Maslows Hierarchy of necessitate According to Hassan (2005), Maslows hierarchy of needs includes physiological needs, safety and warranter needs, genial needs, ego needs and self-actualization which clear facilitate us to show human behavior and call for a re submit point to remind cu stomers power purchasing, especially for what Cadbury has been utilize for their plane sectionation strategies and spatial relation strategies.First of all, as we know that drinking umber is belonged physiological needs which symbolizes this kind-hearted of harvest is low set and more competitive so that there need receive a successful mainstay to go the arcminute largest confectionary grocery store aft(prenominal) Marks-Wrigley (Conor Carroll 2009). This is the bell ringer of itself because when customers strive whatever harvest they always bear on or so the discolouration hollo which non grantd attend to the customers identify their needs and satisfy w be however as well help the groceryers to become assorted from their competitors. For this company which already hold up a operose score and crocked history from 1824 (Conor Carroll 2009) which is more powerful to get customers trust and remained hardcore customers as well. For example, when a per son go to the super securities industry and he wants to bribe a flossy drink presently he provide deplete in brainiac approximately Coke or Pepsi, as equal as in this case when he go to the supermarket and he wants to buy a impede chocolate he may think about Cadbury although the expense may higher than others grades provided because of the high write up and type discolouration so that consumers will pay a higher outlay for defacemented produce which they believe it provides a higher value.Secondly, although Cadbury is a second largest confectionery company it close up made a mis deport when they did non interested a lot about safety and security needs of consumers in 2006. According to Conor Carroll (2009), Cadbury be in shite of salmonella sc ar in 2006 and Easter chocolate outputs s atomic number 50dal in 2007. Because of it, Cadbury personality and benefits at this time was dropped signifi quite a littletly. However, they had fined by the Food guard d uty Authorities and need to recall the broad(a) growths problem. As a result, Cadbury get over the big two trouble and got it intend lessons for safety and security products. However, it non wholly stops by there, they already stupefy an action to get back their reputation from consumers by sustain more lab facilities and scientists to test the product quality and more involve in the fond responsibilities. (http//www. cadbury. com/ourresponsibilities/Pages/ourresponsibilities. aspx) Thirdly, for social needs which atomic number 18 more concerned about the environment and social responsibilities than the quality of this product.Cadbury is not plainly use the contracts to assist their customers social friendship but withal has a special strategy to stimuli their farmers and workers such as course more premium and benefits to the workers in gold coast and apply the people living around. This is pregnant that when consumer pronounce Cadbury chocolate they may think that they already pay a right wrong which figure out the benefits to the workers and similarly digest a weeny part to support the society. As a result, this is the best composition for the marketers because when you want to have a substantial post name inside consumers mind you need to concerned more about the social and environment which are the upstanding strategy to uphold the product check off name and Cadbury did it. Next, some of the Cadbury products and ads emphasis the ego needs which is more detail on self-acceptance and self-esteem such as Cadbury already have targeted this image to teenagers like Cadbury apprehend. For this strategy, Cadbury percolate was targeted to the casual snacking which includes chips and wafers. Moreover, Cadbury Perk contains a center that whenever and wherever teenagers need it always on tap(predicate) for their convenient it becomes a new mini snack in this market. Furthermore, for the confectionery market teenagers and childre n are the legal age drug addiction and the most Coperni groundwork of segmenting and positioning. When the teenagers emphasize Cadbury Perk they may feel like this product was essential for them and stands for them like young, industrious and creative life. (Cadbury PLC 2010) Lastly, there is need for self-actualization which is grueling more on inner view such as psychological desegregation or implore higher level of personal potential.Hassan (2005) states that generatively, social justice and transformative thought process should be meet with this orientation. Thinking towards to Cadbury, we dissolve see that they try to satisfy the customers needs as much as they can or even out though more than what consumers expected like Cadbury celebrations which was aimed to convert the conventional gift options during fete seasons with a fairly box and enough box it sincerely suit for gifting. It is antithetic from others category because it is more formal and highli fe which extend consumers needs. Moreover, Cadbury in like manner have introduced a product for later dinner bouquet which main targeting in India. Because in India people have a habit to have a fragrancy dessert later on their dinner and this product can replace traditional lovable which inconvenient and take more time to repair. For this part, the publicizing more focuses on the adults earlier than children. From this point, we can see that Cadbury not only segmenting and positioning their product on children but also spread out their segmentation to the adults which called as potential customers.Certainly, in this point their advertisement and publicity are also be contrasting from the product that they target to the children. simulation of demand Motivation is a theory-establish construction from which we can touch on the driving force easy human behavior. (Kroeber-Riel and Weinberg 2003, cited in Wohlfeil and Whelan 2006) This, tally to Weinberg (1995 cited in W ohlfeil and Whelan 2006), is a compounding of both emotional and basic urges to direct behavior and cognitive process to direct the goals and drive to hand those goals. These goals differs also as the customer moves along the decision fashioning process, as the needs and motivations changes will affect how the customer perceives any retainn reading. (Mallalleu and Nakamoto 2008) In the case of Cadbury, the motivations of their customers who obtain their brand off the shelves in departmental stores will be different from those who purchase other brands of chocolate, depending on the segmentation, targeting and positioning of the brands, as they focus to fulfilling different multitudes of customers needs, wants and desire.Cadbury fulfills some market segments, ranging from take out chocolate, unrelenting chocolate, chocolate flakes, chocolate powder, chocolate drinks and legion(predicate) more. By targeting many market segments, Cadbury aims to provide a sense of whatchamac allit, and concoction within the same brand, add the strength of their general brand uprightness to all the brands at a lower place Cadbury. This benefits the customers as now they could purchase different products chthonic the same brand, which they can be assured of the quality, packaging and taste, without having to take the jeopardize of try other brands to purchase different chocolate products.Gale 1992 metalworker and Park 1992, cited in Morgan and Rego 2009) Higher brand uprightness allows Cadbury to price their products at a slight premium, disdain them competing within the low price segment of the chocolate industry. (Sivakumar and Raj 1997, cited in Morgan and Rego 2009) Cadbury also uses eminence secondments, such as Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in India, in order to re produce brand virtue after worms were discover in Cadbury chocolates in India. (The Financial read 2003) Although ultimately, it was later turn up that the worms were caused by their retailers sp eculative storage practices in India, their reputation was already tarnished. However with honor endorsement, the honor acting as a source lends credibleness and attractiveness to the product, vainglorious it familiarity in the process. (Sternthal and Craig 1973, cited in Biswas, Biswas and Das 2006) this motivates the customers by giving them the drive to purchase it when their ducky celebrity endorses the product, and through their cognitive process, any perceived sentiment of risk is meaning(a)ly reduced. According to Rao and Monroe (1988), consumers are likely to process more information other than price if they are move, to de terminaline the quality of a given product. This is important as Cadbury much creates contests and advertisements to build function in their products in order to motivate consumers to choose their brand. This occasion however only targets the people with specific personal relevance from which the product has on the person involved. (Coulter et al 2003, cited in Wohlfeil and Whelan 2006) such(prenominal) event merchandise allows marketers to provide interactivity, personal sharing of beget with others, and learning more about the brand in an unceremonial and relax way, duration in the meantime, circumventing the natural tendency for consumers to brush aside corporate sums that appears elsewhere.Whelan and Wohlfeil 2005 Mc Alexander et al. 2002, cited in Wohlfeil and Whelan 2006) As such, from the motivation thought, we are able to see how and wherefore Cadbury segmented and targeted octuple segments of the market, used their brand equity to price at a slight premium, and used celebrity endorsement to rebuild brand equity in India, and used contests and advertisements to generate interest in their brand in an everyday and elicit way. Elaboration likeliness Model (ELM)Customers can be motivated in many ways, but based on the elaboration likeliness instance (ELM), two routes of perspective are set central ro ute and peripheral route (schiffman et al 2009). The ideal of this form is to formulate the motivation down consumers purchases and they way to work them, as two major type of customers can be found one with high perspicacity skills (high involvement) and low discernment skills (Low involvement). However, the success of a company does not come exclusively through the monkey of marketing elements it also includes the fostering of a long term relationship amidst buyer and vendor (Ford et al. ited in Zineldin & Philipson 2007). Thus, the side by side(p) few sections, will describe how Cadbury successfully maneuver its marketing mix, while retaining their customers. But, how does Cadbury appealingness to both types of customers mentioned above? Cadbury dairy draw is basically noteworthy among children and teenager, as it is not only affordable, but delicious. Children and teenagers are considered to gleam under the category of low assessment skills, as the motivation be hind purchase Cadbury for them is the craving for sweets (schiffman et al 2009)..These target chemical assembly do not concerns on the information of the product , instead, it is the indubitable aspect that is the motivation behind, which is to say, this particular group can be extend through peripheral route. For instance, celebrity endorsement, Event and advertisement promoted. In addition, variation of assortments in dairy farm Milk are introduced in the market to meet changing consumer trends and drive yet growth of the UKs favorite chocolate brand. For instance, Cadbury Milk fork-like Choc, Cadbury Milk takings and nut, Cadbury Caramel and 10 other types of dairy farm Milk are introduced in UK alone in the time span of light speed years (Times Online 2010). The customers preferences for Cadbury dairy Milk are the taste, quality and convenience to get a hand of it. That is why the dispersal of the chocolate bars and confectionery are important because of the fact t hat dairy Milk is beseeming more of staple fiber and impulse types of good. In France, the chocolate consumption is one of the highest in the world with amount of 5. kg per head in 1995 and with the exceedingly competitive market and simple spread price-cutting, retail prices and margins vary widely according to product and acquittance company mustiness be expeditious in distributing their goods, as the cost of distribution makes up 40-60% of the product cost (Vrontis & Vignali 2001). The other type of persuasion route is central route, which is used to condone on how to persuade customers that have high assessment skill (high involvement), which fall under the target group of adults (Schiffman et al 2009)..As one grow, they are becoming more conscious of their health and have the perspective that everything that is sweet mean fat and calories. I am sure that whosoever comes across this advertisement will have an impact in a significant way. This is the reason why throng like me, my friends and the ones who atomic number 18 near and dear to me appreciate the true value of this advertisement, no matter how many times we watch it. This paper will take a keen look at an advertisement that has had an effect like none other, and pay close attention to the basis of semiotic theory the signs and symbols apply, the essence of social phenomenon, and a basic catharsis that is much required for a late enough meaning that shall be attained regarding the advertisement under consideration. This advertisement which has been made by Japan Ad Council basically asidelines how well The Childrens nates needs assistance on the part of just about everyone. The center in this advertisement is very loud and if only one can visualize what is universe utter, which is revealed in the ending then the implied essence is clearly transmitted to the intended audiences of this advertisement. The need is to know where this advertisement is creating the wow factor within the people and to what proportions because the ending reveals quite a revelation without a doubt. The empathy element seems to be present within this advertisement so that the viewers can feel for the children who atomic number 18 undergoing differential treatments at the hands of the authorities, and more specifically the school authorities. This is s omething that derives a great deal of value for the people and the dimensions of the society. The child under discussion is being treated in a very wrong way and this has a major say in the make-up of this advertisement. The intended message is coming out loud which is much required. The people who will watch this advertisement again and again will feel that its storyline actually remarks their own life journey. However, this is always easier said than actually implemented within the related settings and it is a good idea to find out where the wrongs are coming into the fray and how these co uld be turned into the positives that are direly needed. As far as the semiotic theory is concerned, there is a pertinent need to find out where the message is making its way through and how the intended audience is being connected. This can easily be seen in the form of an ideology that suggests the assumption of empathy which works to good measure whenever children are used in an advertisement. The children premise is being correctly pointed out because it touches upon quite a few areas which are deemed as necessary to transmit the message in a fair enough manner. The semiotic theory easily mentions how planned a child was in his own thinking regimes, and how he was able to transmit this message through his drawings. The bigger picture could not be envisaged by the elders yet he was able to draw it somehow or the other, in a

Britain's transition from a predominantly rural pre-industrial nation Essay

Britains transition from a predominantly rural pre-industrial nation to a more modify industrialised country was the key change in economic and social development in the hundred after 1750 discuss - Essay ExampleFrom an historical perspective, the difference was fundamentally transformational. The changes wrought by industrialization have set human society on an arguably irreversible path. The country of origin of these changes and indeed also the country wherein occurred much of the first research into them was Great Britain. There has been much debate as to the reasons for their onset, but as to the existence of the changes themselves, very minuscule in the way of denial can be maintained. It was in Britain that the sparks of the Industrial Revolution were first lit and the appearance of modern socio-economic phenomena began to be seen urbanization and rationalization. As Eric Hobsbawm put it the Industrial Revolution marks the most fundamental transformation of human life in th e history of the world recorded in indite documents (Walton 1987, p. 89). In the case of Britain and the world then, the changes were both fundamental and prototypical. Britain was the first to undergo them. Volumes could be written about all these changes. Here we will seek to fail some of them so as to get an idea of their effects. The case must be made that these changes stood as the most significant economic and social developments of the persist three centuries. It must be recalled that the nature of socio-economic relations prior to industrialization were feudal. Here we must look at the Britain of the mid to late nineteenth century and in a way compare it the one which existed 100 to 150 years prior. This should not be allowed to foster an all too simplistic exposure of the industrialization/modernization process as being one which did not exist and then did exist ex nihilo. The modern era and industrialization, as the socio-economic item after feudalism, came about gradu ally and not all at once. For the purposes here, these phenomena will be presented with attention paid to

Research Methods - Essay ExampleThe diverse perspectives of each individual inquiryer scholar turn to a large degree, ranging from those who view the two research strategies as separate processes, to those that are ready to mix the two approaches within their projects. As for example, we find that Bryman (1988) in his paper contended that the best process for completing whizzs research work is using best of both the processes, or in other words, a combination of the qualitative and quantitative approaches should be adopted. Hughes (1997) on the other hand warned against such mixed methods, and suggested that quantitative approaches are scientific and hence more quarry in nature (413-420). While exploring the subject of quantitative and qualitative researches, this paper is primarily based on epistemological notions presented within the query, what is research and what are the research techniques? Eileen Kane, in the book Doing your own research (1985, gives an interesting perspe ctive to the entire debate on the research processes, where she comments, research techniques are a bit bid fishing flies you choose the sound one for fish you want to catch. No fisherman would use the same kind of fly for twenty different varieties of fish (51).... her wishes to use in his/her research work depends, as suggested by Kane (1985), on the investigators wish, which he must decide as per his indispensability and subject. Data Input data output analysis knowledge William M.K. Trochim depicted the methods followed in any research project, in Knowledge based research (fig 1). bod 1 The Yin and the Yang of Research (Trochim, 1999, 8). The numeral represents the framing of the studied material using the Knowledge Base. Left side of figure depicts the research theory, while the right digress depicts the research practice, and the theoretical introduction of any research project and the practical aspect on how to formulate the undertaken research project are linked. The left arrows retrace the validity types that must be accounted in any research paper, which is actually concept of providing the reader with a unifying theory for understanding the entire project. The right arrows point to the research practice areas that match the validity types in order to prove the research problem (Trochim, 1999). While conducting a research a researcher may adopt various techniques as per his subject requirements. The various research techniques that one may adopt are conducting interviews, questionnaires, participant observation, and studying written sources (Kane, 1985, 51). each technique gives a certain form of information and not any other type however, the techniques can complement each other within one research paper (fig 2). Fig 2 The figure (Kane, 1985, 52) shows the various petal-like research techniques that are combined together within a single project. In the figure we find petals representing research techniques, they overlap at the centre, while each overlaps with its neighbour at the sides. The areas that do not overlap

Practice Theories and Micro-therories - Coursework Example166). Thus, breast feeding theories made treat veneration simpler and easy to understand through suppositious representation. From the authors viewpoint, nursing theories serve as the strongest foundation of nursing which guide nursing actions and standards of intrust. Without this, the author believes that nurses care would be unsystematic, of low quality, and not holistic. In line with this, the author lead discuss types of nursing theories, particularly practice theories and micro-range theories. Furthermore, this paper will focus on micro-range theory of versed responses in managing multiple chronic diseases through Corbin and Strausss chronic illness trajectory model along with Burys concept of biographical disruption. This paper will also analyze the importance of nursing theory to the nursing profession and the relationship of nursing theory to nursing leadership, nursing education, and nursing informatics. Analy sis of the Importance of Nursing theory to the Nursing commerce Nursing theories are essential to the nursing profession as they guides nursing practice and research (Houser, 2008, p. 174). Nursing theories are significantly related to nursing practice because theory is shaped by practice and practice evolved because of the development in theories. The development of nursing theories has also provided means to establish nursing as a profession. According to Meleis (2012), nursing theories provide nurses with the framework and goals for assessment, diagnosis, and intervention (p. 36). Each aspect of nursing care is grounded to nursing theories to enhance critical thinking and decision-making related to care and to effectively manage patients situations and conditions. Thus, nursing theories are important in the nursing process. Through theoretical perspective, nursing practice becomes more efficient, effective, and goal-directed (Meleis, 2012, p. 35). Since nursing theories serve as the blueprint of practice, extraneous areas or activities are minimized leading to conservation of time, energy, and talent of nurses in practice. In this case, nursing goals and nursing knowledge or theories are clearly articulated which may result in effective seeking and responding of patients and families to care being rendered by the nurse. It is not scarce in nursing practice that nursing theories are of great importance but to the research body as well. Nursing theories have the same percentage point of importance to nursing research as they guide nursing research by limiting what questions to ask and what methods to use in answering the research questions. twain the nursing theories and nursing research have cyclical relationship because the result of the research can be used to verify, modify, disprove, or support a theoretical proposition that can promote growth and enrichment of nursing theory as a scholarly discipline (Meleis, 2012, p. 35). Upon analysis of the impor tance of nursing theories, the author has learned two essential fields in relation to nursing theories research and practice. For the purpose of this paper, the author will discuss in the next texts practice theories, micro-theories, and the bring up concepts and

EU Enlargement to Eastern Europe Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words

EU Enlargement to Eastern Europe - Essay ExampleFollowing the launch of the euro as EUs common currency, the EU found it necessary to shift its attention to the East. The decision to enlarge EU membership to Eastern European countries was finalized in 2002 and its first phase would have been carried out(p) between 2004 and 2006. Here, EU negotiates what analysts perceive as a bumpy road.belonged to the former communist bloc which just emerged from half a century of Soviet domination. end-to-end this long period, they operated on a planned economy and it is only when now that they are moving in unison towards a market economy. As a lingering effect of a less efficient economic system, their incomes are much lower than those of existing EU members. This poses a problem to the process of harmonizing the incoming of these countries into EU.EU enlargement to Eastern Europe will boost the European common market from 320 million people to about 470 million. Unlike Switzerland, Norway a nd Iceland which joined only EUs free trade area, the Eastern European countries need to be full EU members or they will not enjoy the promised benefits. This entails huge costs on the part of the new members.Eastern Europe is a low-income region of about 100 million people whose combined income will raise the GDP of EU by a mere 5 per cent. This is very much less than the result of previous EU expansions to the North and South. It is not only their low income levels that may bring deleterious effects to EU but also the fact that these countries are in the middle of a transition phase from a centrally planned to a market economy. In addition, the new members will have to cope with more EU regulations than before because of the recent creation of the Single European Market concept. Although many of the former communist bloc countries are convinced of the superiority of the free market, some have retained their faith in the collectivist system and in the role of government in steeri ng economic growth. Thus, many of them continue to bring up the rear on the list of worlds freest economies. In the 2003 Economic Freedom of the World Report, only Estonia made it to the16th rung. Hungary was 35th, Czech 39th and Latvia 51st. At the bottom of the list were Bulgaria at 103rd place, Russia 112th, Romania 116th and Ukraine 117th. (Tupy, L., 2003)Initially, liberalization of these economies pushed output down, but they in stages recovered. By 2002, their separate GDPs grew as foreign investment started to come in. During that year, the World Bank reported that Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Sloavakia led the pack with an average 2.3 per cent growth. Poland is the largest of these former communist bloc countries and may prove to be of strategic importance to EU since it is the gateway of Western Europe into the large Eastern European countries of Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. (Mind Your Business, 2004) The other big countries in the East that are slated to join EU are Russia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, Slovenia and Slovakia. Polands ProblemsSigns that Poland is a possible problem child for EU became observable as soon as the homeland of the beloved Pope John Paul II took the first step of joining the union in whitethorn 2004. Critique of quantative research article Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Critique of quantative research article - Essay ExampleIn HFHS, the candidate is evaluated using their reaction to a human like a mannequin that responds to external stimuli like a real patient would. The study used two other evaluation methods to augment the results of VTV and HFHS in relation to vital thinking. These were the California Critical opinion Disposition Inventory (CCTDI) and California Critical Thinking Skill Test (CCTST). CCTDI and CCTST join the link between physical motion and the mental capacity engaged in this type of response. The study aims at establishing if there is a link between critical thinking and the overall surgical process of a practicing nurse in the real world clinical situations. This is done by comparing the performance scores in HFHS and VTV assessments and determining if there is a relationship between simulations based performances and critical thinking. In the nursing profession, there is the need for a high degree of competency in handling medical situations and emergencies. How a nurse responds to a situation is meaningful for a patients recovery or their demise. The proper identification of a problem and the appropriate subsequent response to the problem is linked to how effective that someone is at handling such situations, and it has been linked to a persons state of mind. ... The assessment of critical thinking through the use of question and answer methods fail to bring out the actual capability of a nurse in a real clinical situation. They do help to gauge their cognitive abilities, but do not show their level performance, in a practical scenario, where their actions and judgments argon required immediately to save a life. The development of simulated assessment methods present a better method of assessing the performance of an individual, and it makes it easier for them to provide rationale, for their actions because simulations engage twofold sensory pathways making them dynamic, thus giving the nurse a v ariety of options to choose from, in regards to the one that is best suited for the situation at hand. record vignettes (VTV) is an assessment method that requires a test candidate to watch a video where an actor assumes the condition of a patient suffering from a particular proposition ailment and the candidate writes down how they would respond in such a situation and reasons supporting their decisions. In the assessment method of High fidelity humane Simulation (HFHS), the candidate is exposed to controlled experimental type scenario where a human like mannequin that can respond to external stimuli is programmed to mimic a person who is suffering from a certain ailment. The candidates performance is evaluated by gauging how they handle the patient and what type of actions they initiate to mitigate the unfolding situation. To be up to(p) to gauge the critical thinking capacity of candidate accurately, these assessments are coupled to California Critical Thinking Disposition Inv entory (CCTDI) and California Critical Thinking Skill Test (CCTST) as a way of trying to create a link between
